Kenny Golds has over 30 years of experience in the wireless industry across all verticals. Within his years of experience, the industry has changed drastically from the first handheld Motorola mobile phone to the plethora of smartphones today. Kenny has successfully adjusted Star’s business model to adapt to the fast-changing industry. Known as a "Highly trusted technology expert," Kenny has worked closely with top-level executives and Fortune 500 companies.

Tony Martinez has 25 years of experience in the wireless industry and has been a leader in driving the integration of wireless devices, wireless networks, and mobility software into enterprise, government, and small-medium sized businesses. Tony has been involved with the launches of RIM’s BlackBerry Solution on Bellsouth Wireless Data’s Mobitex Network, Good Technology’s launch of the Good wireless email platform on Mobitex as well as launches of RIM’s BlackBerry solution on converged voice and data networks such as T-Mobile, Sprint, Nextel, Cingular, Verizon Wireless & AT&T Wireless.
Tony has been instrumental in managing the roll out, deployment, and implementation of wireless products and solutions to several Global Fortune 1000, Federal Government, Financial, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Automotive and Entertainment companies. He has implemented customized applications and support services for several organizations.
Before joining Star Communications, Inc. Tony was Vice President of Sales at Karbon Systems. In 2002, Karbon Systems developed the first terrestrial wireless product to conform to the standards set by the DoD, offering full compliance with the Department of Defense (DoD) Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and true end-to-end security using 256-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES). Prior to joining Karbon Systems, Tony held various positions with AirTouch, Bellsouth Wireless Data and Cingular. Tony has a B.A. from California State University Northridge in Cell and Molecular Biology and resides in Los Angeles, CA.
Matt Schwartz has over a decade of experience in the wireless industry with a strong focus on client services. Matt is directly responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of our staff members in accordance with best practices, policies and procedures. Matt promotes positive outcomes and manages the relationship of our clients, in addition to managing the on-boarding phases of new accounts. Matt strives to always expand his knowledge and expertise in mobile wireless fulfillment, deployment, device lifecycle management, telecom expense management, and managed helpdesk services.
Other areas of expertise include providing direct supervision, training, and development of our staff members, as well as actively collaborating with upper management on numerous opportunities. Matt’s dedication to Star has helped contribute to the growth and success achieved over the years.
Matt graduated Summa Cum Laude from DeVry University with a B.S. in Network and Communications Management.
Melissa González has been a part of the Star Communications, Inc. team for the past 4 years. Her expertise lies in mobility account analysis (including voice, messaging & data management), simplified reporting, cost allocation, expense & usage auditing and miscellaneous account management. She currently leads the Telecommunication Expense Management department for Star. She has efficiently streamlined reporting processes such as Cost Allocation for clients with complicated cost distribution needs. Her skills lie in optimizing accounts upon implementation & producing reporting techniques that save our clients time and money.
She also has experience procuring mobile device accessories & is a certified reseller. She has experience working with carriers such as AT&T, Verizon Wireless, Sprint & T-Mobile on a day-to-day basis & stays up-to-date on the most competitive carrier voice, data & messaging plans & features offered. She previously managed the international scheduling program at Star and has thorough knowledge on the best international options out there. She has also worked with various Helpdesk portals & has assisted with procurement.
Prior to working at Star Communications, Melissa studied at the University of California, Los Angeles and graduated with a B.A. in English and Anthropology. She also served as the Academic Personnel Assistant where her expertise in reporting began as she prepared data for faculty seeking advancements and salary adjustments.
Melissa enjoys reading, listening to all types of music and attending live music events in her free time.
Rachel Leeper has managed Star Communications, Inc.’s marketing efforts for the past 2 years. As Star has identified enterprises’ needs for advancement in wireless technology, she too has identified the need to spread the Star brand using modern marketing methods. With this drive, Rachel has built up from scratch Star’s presence in the digital world through social media management, blog posts, and email campaigns. To familiarize herself with the wireless industry and Star’s unique services, Rachel spent her first year dabbling in the mobility help desk department. Since then, she has implemented her customer service experience in white-glove VIP support within her marketing role to foster client relationships, business partnerships, and prospective opportunities with the utmost care.
Before joining the Star Team, Rachel worked with organizations of various industries to help grow their brands and promote their events. She built and led the marketing department for a small sportswear manufacturing company. She also jump started and oversaw CRM organization, customer satisfaction surveys, social media presence, and the revamp of the company’s website.
Rachel’s interest in marketing stems from her creativity. Rachel graduated Cum Laude from University of California, Riverside with University Honors and a BA in Creative Writing. Outside of Star, she is a poet, blog writer, and creative writing coach.
Omar Laguna has over 18 years of experience in the wireless industry. Previously employed by Airtouch Cellular and Verizon as a retail store representative, Omar has been on the frontlines of wireless directly supporting consumers for over a decade. Omar has also held the title of Business Account Executive with Verizon supporting large business with company-wide device deployment, technical mobile support, and TEM.
Omar is certified for and has administrated MDM applications such as AirWatch, Microsoft Intune and MobileIron. Part of what makes Omar such an essential member of the Star team is his vast knowledge and hands on experience with a multitude of smartphones, mobile broadband, and IoT devices from various manufacturers.
In keeping with his interest in technology, Omar also holds a certificate in Electrical Construction and Maintenance.
