Tony Martinez has 25 years of experience in the wireless industry and has been a leader in driving the integration of wireless devices, wireless networks, and mobility software into enterprise, government, and small-medium sized businesses. Tony has been involved with the launches of RIM’s BlackBerry Solution on Bellsouth Wireless Data’s Mobitex Network, Good Technology’s launch of the Good wireless email platform on Mobitex as well as launches of RIM’s BlackBerry solution on converged voice and data networks such as T-Mobile, Sprint, Nextel, Cingular, Verizon Wireless & AT&T Wireless.
Tony has been instrumental in managing the roll out, deployment, and implementation of wireless products and solutions to several Global Fortune 1000, Federal Government, Financial, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Automotive and Entertainment companies. He has implemented customized applications and support services for several organizations.
Before joining Star Communications, Inc. Tony was Vice President of Sales at Karbon Systems. In 2002, Karbon Systems developed the first terrestrial wireless product to conform to the standards set by the DoD, offering full compliance with the Department of Defense (DoD) Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and true end-to-end security using 256-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES). Prior to joining Karbon Systems, Tony held various positions with AirTouch, Bellsouth Wireless Data and Cingular. Tony has a B.A. from California State University Northridge in Cell and Molecular Biology and resides in Los Angeles, CA.
